2010 was a wonderful year. I started a new job, I traveled to wonderful cities like Prague, Paris, and New York, I adopted an adorable little dog (bringing the total count to three), and I got MARRIED. I am now Mrs. Kitchin and I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, it turns out planning a wedding, starting a job, jet setting across the globe, and caring for three dogs and a husband is VERY time consuming.
As 2010 soldiered on, I found myself with less and less time and energy to prepare my own meals. I started getting breakfast at Starbucks, lunch at the sub shop down the corner from my office, and for dinner we'd dine out or order in. Such dining habits are expensive and high calorie - not a great combination.
2011 is going to be all about getting my waistline and pocketbook back in shape. In order to do that, I want to start preparing my own meals as much as possible. This blog will detail my culinary adventures, good and bad, so I can be held accountable to my resolution.
Bon apetit!
I think this is a great way to follow through with your resolution! Having a blog really provides a lot of motivation to press on whenever you find yourself in a rut.
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend Martha Stewart Everyday Food magazine. Lots of great ideas and it's fun to get it in the mail! Joe & I have very different tastes and we both pick out a couple meals from it each month. It works out really well!
Oh and one more thing- super cute blog title!
